The High Tatra National Park has been established for over a hundred years and now attracts visitors from Europe, USA and Australasia. Poprad town the capital of the region with its lively colourful centre is an excellent place for shopping and meandering. Poprad boasts its own airport and the famous \'Aqua City\' water park. Above Poprad town lays The Tatry Mountains with its quaint established electric railway system serving the villages scattered along the mountainside. This area is lush green in summer and is renowned for its walking & hiking trails. In winter the region becomes a winter sports playground and is contender for the next winter Olympics.

The high standard of upkeep is important and there is routine cleaning made of all communal areas plus snow removal from walking areas in winter. Please note that due to Pinewood Valley being on a ski slope there are a large number of steps to access some parts of the premises. Please ensure this will not present difficulties to any member of your group. In the village of Ruzbachy there are a number of excellent pub/restaurants some with live music each night. There are three provision stores and a souvineer shop.
